Hard to imagine the original Independence Day movie was released way back in 1996 – twenty years ago! For those of us who can remember seeing Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum teaming up to stop the alien invasion when it originally ran in the cinemas, that means we can’t deny it any more – we’re getting old! Fast forward twenty years, and the aliens are back with a vengeance. Don’t expect this to be winning any Oscars, but if you’re looking to suspend disbelief and have a fun couple hours on the weekend, this could be just the ticket you’re looking for.
